This Post Is All About Sims 4 Careers

How to Get a Job In the Sims 4

Embrace the excitement of finding employment in The Sims 4 with a multitude of fantastic methods!

The most popular option is simply opening your Sim’s phone and selecting “Find a Job” from the menu. Voila! Your Sim will be presented with a list of amazing job opportunities to apply for.

Another fabulous approach to securing employment is to hop on the computer and search for a job.

No computer? No problem! Simply select your Sim, choose the career pane, and click “Find a Job.” Your Sim’s dream career awaits!

Changing How You’re Working

When your Sims are at work, you can change their tasks. By default, your Sims will begin working normally. This will decrease their fun at a regular pace, and they’ll be in an unpleasant mood when they get home.

You can change how your Sim performs by clicking on the little briefcase icon to the right of your Sim’s image in the bottom section. You have choices between working hard, relaxing, and socializing, among other options. If you want to socialize, your Sim’s sociability need will increase; you might meet new people this way and make friends or enemies. If you opt for relaxation, your Sims’ enjoyment will go up, but their work performance will not.

This is also the place to leave work early if you need to be at home with your kids or simply don’t want your Sim at work any longer.

How to Get Promoted

It’s wonderful when your Sims are promoted because they will earn more money and, in many cases, work fewer days. If you want your Sims to be promoted, there are a few things you should pay attention to. The first thing to consider is the required skills; usually, there are two skills that your Sims must master before they can be promoted.

When your Sim is at home after work, you should try to complete their daily tasks. This isn’t required for promotion, as it’s more about skills and overall job performance. However, completing these routine tasks will improve your performance and help with promotion.

Last but not least, you must focus on your performance at work. This is represented by the colored bar in your career panel that rises when you’re at work, especially if you’re putting in effort. You will only get a promotion if you complete the career panel.

Career Branches

In most careers, your sim can choose a more specialized type of employment for your Sim if you wish. This does not apply to active jobs or freelancing. Depending on the branch, selecting one will provide different benefits, working hours, pay, and so on.

For example, someone in the Painter career will have to choose between the Master of the Real Career Branch or the Patron of the Arts Career Branch. These branches usually have similar pay, but not exactly the same.

Active Careers

If you have The Sims 4: Get to Work installed, there are three active careers for your Sims to pursue. You can become a detective, a doctor, or a scientist.

In these professions, you’ll have various responsibilities to complete each day to receive a bronze, silver, or gold ranking for each day worked, and achieving a gold ranking can earn you special rewards.

These activities are ideal for players who want to control every aspect of their Sim’s life and may provide an exciting experience for them. If you’re looking for a way to let your Sims go and enjoy some peace, this isn’t the best choice for you.

Taking Vacation Days

You will also receive three days off after you begin a new game career. To utilize these days, go to your phone’s menu and choose “Vacation Day.”

You’ll be able to accumulate more vacation days by, not missing shifts, coming to work on time, and getting promoted. You may save these up and take a longer break later on, which is fantastic if you want to spend some quality time with your children or go on a family getaway.

Working from Home

There are a variety of jobs in the game that allow you to work from home rather than going to work every day.

On the hour before your shift is scheduled to begin, you’ll see a pop-up in the lower left corner of the screen asking if you want to go to work, work from home, or take paid time off.

If you wish to work from home, you will be presented with a handful of activities in the job list that you must finish before your next working day begins.

You’ll be paid a little amount of money each time you complete a task, and if your employer thinks you did an excellent job, they may give you bonuses.

Working from home is an excellent option for parents who need to look after their children all day, or if your needs are modest, you may utilize this time to make them happy before you begin working.
